What are the differences between the tickets?
The Bootcamp ticket entitles you to two days of hands-on and immersive educational training. You’ll be working directly in SketchUp almost all day, and we’ll have a farewell happy hour for you to celebrate at the end. You can compare Bootcamp to school, you’ll be in a small classroom with teachers and assistants available to help you stay on pace. You’ll be able to ask questions and get more 1-on-1 attention.
The Basecamp ticket entitles you to three days of 3D Basecamp sessions and presentations (over 50 to choose from!). You can compare Basecamp to a more traditional conference. This part of the event will focus more on industry trends, thought-leadership, and networking. The good news is that we will still offer a limited amount of educational training classes during Basecamp (like SketchUp 101 and 201) but the classes will be bigger, the session times will be shorter, and the pace might be a little faster. This ticket also features the 3D Basecamp keynote, as well as our legendary 3D Basecamp party.
The All Access ticket entitles you to both Bootcamp and Basecamp – training + conference. This means you will get to attend two days of educational classes, Basecamp presentations from industry experts, plus our 3D Basecamp keynote and our rad 3D Basecamp party. For obvious reasons, this is our favorite ticket because you get 5 days of nothing but SketchUp!
Will there be a virtual/hybrid offering at 3D Basecamp?
At this point in time, no. Our goal is to build and strengthen the SketchUp 3D community, so we would like to bring everyone together for an in-person event. As we all know, virtual events are great, but they are not the same as live, in-person events. As long as it is safe to do so, we will be hosting an in-person event in Vancouver.
Where should I stay in Vancouver?
We strongly encourage you to stay at one of our partner hotels. We’ve arranged discounted rates, so you can stay close to the action without breaking the bank. Please visit: https://3dbasecamp.sketchup.com/hotels to learn more about our hotel block. Every hotel is within walking distance to the convention center, so there is no need to rent a car. Plus you will be surrounded by other Basecampers, so you will get to network both in and outside of the conference walls.
What should I bring to 3D Basecamp?
The 3D Basecamp essentials are a laptop that’s compatible with SketchUp (no rentals will be available on-site), a charger for that laptop, and a three-button mouse (the cheaper, the better!). Also, bring whatever you need to have fun in Vancouver. Here’s a handy guide to help you get packed up!
Do you offer group/team discounts?
Yup! If you come as a group of 4+, you get an awesome discount of 30% off each ticket. To locate these tickets scroll down to the bottom of the ticket selection box in Eventbrite.
